Performance of Concrete-CLT Shear Connections

Abstract:

In this research, performance of shear connections between concrete and CLT is evaluated. Embedded screws between the two are the key elements transferring shear. In order to evaluate the performance, push-out tests were performed with 9 different specimens and strength, stiffness and ductility were compared. Based on Johansen’s yield theory, CLT-concrete connections design equation was proposed.
