Abstract:

 The wall-type apartment building with damper is designed to apply the ordinary shear wall system. The purpose of this study is to evaluate efficiency of this performance-based design with damper checking through some factors such as allowable drift, shear force, compression strain. As a result, this system meet the requirements of allowable story drift but some shear walls have to be reinforced to withstand shear force under earthquake.
